Wireless Communications
Catalpa International's Net-i-Foho project is delivering a highly sustainable and affordable Wireless Mesh Networking system for organisations that provide vital services - education, healthcare, economic development - in rural and under-served areas of the Ermera District of Timor Leste. Above all, this network will assist these services to build community capacity, increase their efficiency and help them deliver their much needed community development programs.

Computers for Communities
In the remote villages of Eraulu, Ermera, Letefoho and the Timor Leste’s capital Dili, the Computers for Communities program has established four separate computer-training classrooms. As a free service, these computer classrooms offer local Timorese hands-on experience with personal computers, with courses ranging from word processing, web browsing, spreadsheet use and email.

Student Immersion Program
With growing community embarrassment and disillusionment with the ‘Schoolies Week', this community-supported initiative is providing Year 12 students with alternative way of celebrating the completion of their studies. A group of students will instead work on a variety of community building activities in the rural villages of Timor Leste.

Health Database
Recognising the important link between health outcomes and information sharing, Catalpa International is working in partnership with the St Bakhita Health Clinic to develop an electronic database to store and track vital patient information.
